There had always been rumors of the ruins of a mysterious DRACONID clan atop the highest peak of METEOR FALLS. Allegedly, any archaeologist or treasure hunter who had gone looking for it in the past hundred years or so was now missing. Allegedly, the peak where it was said to be found was cursed.[break][break]

Remiel Calcifet had always considered it to be a tall tale, of course. While the peak of METEOR FALLS was not barren, it certainly wasn't the sort of place he would imagine people to settle down in. Bringing all the resources and tools needed for an excavation here would likely be too costly to consider profitable. Therefore, he hadn't even bothered to give this place a visit...[BREAK][BREAK]

The mysterious disappearance of a museum benefactor who had gone in search of the 'cloud domain' immediately brought this to everyone's attention. The Galarian archaeologist had contacted Yuina Higashi with the offer of a personally funded research trip. No red tape. There was solace that could be found still in facts, in work, in study, in history... Solace that Yuina still chose to hide within, where she had lost so much of her veil to the world. For in Remiel's contact to her, it wasn't for league work, it wasn't for a mission or a fight against rocket. It was work amongst colleagues, for the good of academia, where a fellow scholar had disappeared in the pursuit of knowledge on a missing draconid settlement. And for that, she was thankful perhaps, that even given all that he could know of her, she was still maybe inconsequential in that way...[break][break]
Trekking over a brush of leaves and branches, Yuina looked out through the trees as the sky still continued to change, from dusk to early night. They had been hiking for sometime, it wasn't necessarily a trip they could take any other way while they were looking for any sign of their missing benefactor.[break][break]
"It wasn't ever a question, Remiel. The academic world could suffer if this was left unchecked," Yuina returned. For as much as she might struggle to call herself a league ranger at present, she still liked to think she was worth the academic community perhaps.[break][break]
She watched the small apple roll along the ground just ahead of her, where behind her, Higumei's lumbering paws stepped in her wake. The perfect hunter was keen on their surroundings, opening his senses, and if there was a missing person to be found, Yuina had confidence that the bear would be integral.[break][break]
